Searching & Studying with the Pearls
Searching with the Search & Highlight feature from a computer desktop screen (Mobile users, go here):
The text of Gompf’s ID Pearls 2.0 (or any page on the site) may be searched for specific words or phrases. All instances of the word or phrase will be highlighted for you.
On the page you wish to search, enter your search term (e.g. “MRSA“) into the upper right “Search” box, and hit Enter key:
If the term is used in Gompf’s ID Pearls 2.0 (or Las Perlas or any other document on the website), a list of pages will appear with the first instance of your search term highlighted.
Now, click the title of the document you desire:
You will now see the entire document, with every instance of your search term highlighted. Scroll up or down to view each highlight. That’s it!:
How to use this reference:
Gompf’s ID Pearls is best used as a study tool, along with a general textbook such as Mandell’s Principles and Practices of Infectious Diseases, and perhaps an excellent clinical review book such as Southwick’s Infectious Diseases in 30 Days.
